THE FILM - WHAT ABOUT OUR KIDS?
Emmy Award winning filmmaker, Sharon Baker will present highlight reels from her new, soon to be released film What About Our Kids? (USA/2024). Offering a unique opportunity for attendees to get a special preview first look at this must-see film that uses first person testimony from mental health practitioners, educators and a diverse sampling of teens themselves to address teen mental health, social media, and how the caring adults in their lives can help them to become more resilient.
Experts in brain science, equity and inclusion, trauma-informed care, education, and public health will respond and react to the film through their unique lenses and perspectives. They will purposefully lead discussions that inspire learning, critical thinking, and collaborative problem solving to empower attendees in nurturing adolescent mental health with ample opportunity for Q&A.
